Locationgate: Your Apple iPhone iPad 3G is Being Tracked!!!

     Owners of Apple iPhone and iPad 3Gs are having there data and locations saved on secret file which raises privacy issues. Duh? You bet it raises some privacy issues!!  Seems this all started at the beginning of iOS 4.0, so June 2010!!! Why is this data saved? What purpose does this info serve to Apple???? Why? Why? Why?
In a nutshell, the data is stored on your Mac/PC not on a server somewhere. However, if your computer is ever stolen, your personal info could be compromised from June 2010.
Jailbroken iPhones have the luxury to install Untrackerd, which deletes the consolidated.db file. Untrackerd is available in the Cydia app store.
Please Note: To prevent further tracking you can encrypt backups via iTunes.
